Under the supervision of the University’s Head Basketball Coach, the Video Coordinator supports basketball operations and the assistant coaches with primary functions in video and video coordination and day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
1. Assist Head Coach and entire coaching staff with all administrative aspects of women’s basketball program on daily basis.
2. Coordinator of all video for women’s basketball program which includes
-Responsible for all film exchange with Big Ten and Non-Conference Teams.
-Video Editing of Team Film, Scouting.
-Recording and maintaining library of all women’s basketball games broadcast on satellite TV.
-Coordinate all video operations for women’s basketball home games, away games, practices.
-Coordinate scouting video for Head Coach and Assistant coaches for all upcoming opponents.
-Setup Video equipment for film sessions in team meetings before practices and games.
-Produce and edit special video projects for team website.
-Maintain a yearly video budget and purchase all new equipment.
3. Assist Coaching staff with On-Campus recruiting visits.
5. Coordinate opponents’ practice times and shootarounds
6. Assist coaches with technical problems on laptops, phones, etc. and work with IT to resolve.
7. Assist with setup of special events for Alumni, Boosters, Team Banquet.
8. Assist with coordination and administrative aspects of summer basketball camps.
9. Stay up to date on all audio/visual technology
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Previous coaching and/or playing experience
Must work with and communicate effectively with all team members and support staff within Michigan Athletics and the UM community.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess excellent organizational, computer and technical skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive demands.
Must be able to successfully complete a background check
Knowledge of NCAA rules and intercollegiate athletics
Salary commensurate with experience.
